FINALLY...
The final proofs are being put together for the three CDs <sheesh>. Samples have been posted on the myspace page. I'm waiting for the final product for the website.

Talking about website, we are putting together a small sub-website for the trilogy. I hear there might be some animation included <g>. Will let you know when I know more.

Yes, it IS 2007 ...eh?
Sorry it's been so long. I hate looking at other band websites and WAITING for them to update theirs. Damn! Anyway...

The three CDs are coming, a little later than expected. We are currently on the artwork for number 2 (Moonshine, the acoustic one). I've posted a couple of songs and artwork demos on the myspace page.

What's taking so long? In addition to the THREE CDs (artwork and all), we are also planning on building a small website to promote the trilogy. SO... we'll keep you updated, just check back.

A simultaneous trilogy...
Liar's Moon and Turbulent Moon have been joined by Moon-shine, the third CD in a simultaneous trilogy with one release date (to be announced). Each CD focuses on a different aspect of my musical being (electric rock, instrumental and acoustic). The packaging for Liar's Moon is completed and we are getting ready to start Moon-shine next! I am really excited about this. Will post more as it becomes available.

The annual online Christmas card has been posted, click here. The card also contains a new Christmas song (as usual <g>), this year it's: Even Santa Gets the Blues. hahaha (Or should I say, "Ho! Ho! Ho!"?) The song is 5.5 MB so be patient with the download. A personal greeting is also available.

Liar's Moon AND Turbulent Moon ...to be released this fall.
We've just finished putting a myspace page together -- click here to access the myspace page.

As for the band, that hasn't quite worked out yet. Putting a band together is kind of like dating but with more people involved. That makes it difficult. Especially when original music is your chosen path. It will happen, just (apparently) not right now.

At this moment I am taking a break from the madness and putting together a new CD. Actually two CDs: Liar's Moon, rock 'n roll AND Turbulent Moon, an instrumental...for simultaneous release late this fall. All of the songs have been written and the initial recordings made for both. And, we've already taken the photo shoot and have posted a few choice picts in the photo gallery. That's what inspired Chris to put together the myspace page <lol>: the new photos. Anyway. Stay tuned, audio samples coming soon. PLUS, you can always suscribe to the myspace blog for details, too.

Chris Whitley: 1960-2005.
On November 20th we lost a remarkable talent. Chris Whitley took music down to its barest elements to grab every ounce of emotion out of it. He'll probably never get the acclaim he deserves but to me, and his very loyal fans, his music will live in our hearts forever.

If you've never heard his music, take the time because it is worth the journey. Our culture can't afford to loose these people any more.

FOUNTAIN RE-THOUGHT & RE-VISED...
I've come up with a new song that just HAD to be put on the new CD ("It Hurts Me to Say" is the name of the new song) so this will push back the release date to January 2006. I would say, "I promise" but I've seen too many dorky commercials with that line recently.

I also decided that I'm going to put out two versions of the CD: one a full 80 minutes and one that is slightly shorter (only 10 or 11 songs). Common wisdom says that 80 minutes is just too long but I have a lot of material that I feel good about...so that is why I'm releasing two versions: a common wisdom cut and ...mine.

I'm, also, currently in contact with some potential band mates to start taking this music to the people. But this is still in the meet & greet stage so stay tuned.

"Fountain" ARTWORK STARTING PRODUCTION SOON!
I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. My newest CD, "Fountain", has gone through a revision. Upon listening to it I felt that the music needed more colors so I added several additional songs to make it my most AMBITIOUS work to date! It's (basically) a double CD on a single disk: 79 minutes 22 seconds.

We're tying up some loose ends and it should be ready to go soon. Thanks for your patience!

ANNOUNCING "Instrumentality II"!
Finally after a very long wait, everything is done and we've posted the newest instrumental CD, "Instrumentality II." Click here for instrumental audio clips/mp3s -- GREAT listening for those crazy summer afternoons <g>.

Also, stay tuned for "Fountain," which is nearly completed. This CD features a collection of original rock 'n roll songs. We JUST completed the preliminary photo shoot for the cover art and the CD is in final stages of production. However, the last song is still under debate. I'll let you know more as I know more...

I'm also wrapping up another side project of original sleazy blues tunes with a couple of friends. Busy, busy :)

ALMOST READY!
The CD artwork for "Instrumentality II" is going through a second revision, Chris says it shouldn't be much longer now. I hope to have REALLY good news to post next month about this :) In the meantime, another collection of songs is in production. The songs are mostly written and the CD is in the recording stage right now. I'm ALSO recording another project (of sleazy blues songs). In other words, I'm DEFinitely keeping busy. Stay tuned, more next month.

Sorry for the long stint of incomunicadoness, the last couple of months have been VERY hectic (but very rewarding too). Centered in this time has been the (first time) purchase of a new house. "IN THE WEEDS" finally released!
Due to FOUR hurricanes and a VERY busy Chris, "Instrumentality II" is still in production so I decided to go ahead and release "In the Weeds." This is a little bit different sound for me, more earthy and stripped down. I just wanted to hear myself in a different light. A note, part of the reason that Chris is SO very busy is that we are in the middle of translating the website into German. A BIG "THANKS!" goes out to Angie Teasley, our official translator! Expect to see some of the pages appearing in the next couple of months. Achtung Baby!

"WEEDS" ALMOST READY FOR PRODUCTION!
The artwork for "Weeds" is almost done, if you want to see the cover concept click here. Although it's almost ready, we're going to wait until BOTH CDs are packaged and ready to go before releasing them. Instrumentality II artwork will be on the drawing table next.

...and we just dodged a bullet down here in Tampa/St. Petersburg, from major hurricane Charley. The experience left me with a greater appreciation for my work, my friends, ...everything. Peace everyone. Help those who need.

TWO CDs TO BE RELEASED SIMULTANEOUSLY!
I had a change of plans (which I often do <g>) and decided to team up "In the Weeds," a stripped down acoustic affair, with "Instrumentality II," which is a thick electric guitar production. I'm going to release both CDs at the same time, so you get to see both ends of the musical spectrum of what I do <lol>. They're both finished and we're taking care of the artwork right now. Chris is actually drawing something special up for "In the Weeds." Both should be available in August or September.

You also might have noticed that we've added the PayPal verified seal to the website. FREE MUSIC DOWNLOADS?
Okay so this month Chris is the one mumbling about updating the website but I've been BUSY. The new CD is about to be mastered and we're talking about different concepts for the cover art :) The music is a VERY stripped down affair compared to previous releases. It should be available sometime soon.

Plus we just moved the website over to a new server so there's a little elbow room (and we can upload even more .mp3s sound clips for download). We're currently talking about putting up one entire song (.mp3 clip) for download from each CD. Right now there are small audio/sound clips of different resolutions available. The issue is still under discussion and debate. Keep posted for news on that front. Any questions or feedback: just click here.

STRIPPED DOWN!
I've been dabbling with acoustic, stripped down versions of some of my songs (and have even created a few new ones too). There's even an idea about putting on a few acoustic shows too. Keep checking back, because this is where that sort of thing will get posted. <btw> Chris has been sick as a dog this week and forgot to post the new "REQUIRED LISTENINGS." Oh well, $#@! happens.

As soon as we get a free moment we'll post the higher resolution .mp3 song clips from "Seeds." The quality of these clips are quite an improvement but only recommended for high speed connections. I'm also considering posting an entire song for free download from the upcoming acoustic collection. We'll see.

SEEDS RELEASE DATE!
On February 24 my latest release, "Seeds," will be available for purchase. "Seeds" is my next step (closer) to where I want to be musically. You are invited to follow the journey. Song samples (.mp3s) will be available shortly.

PLUS: I've been hard at work engineering and co-producing a new CD for emerging artist, Josh Wattam. His upcoming CD is tentatively named, "Semi-high." "SEEDS" UPDATE

NEXT...?!!!
I've started work on my next CD, "Seeds." I want this body of work to really represent what I feel is important in music. I'm kind of stepping backwards and taking a good hard look at what I've been doing, how it's been done, etc. I've been listening to a LOT of GREAT soul music, old time Delta blues and my favorite guitar players. I've got a real good feeling about this next collection of songs... The search for the band is ongoing and somewhat frustrating. As soon as players are set, a schedule WILL be announced. ALMOST HERE!
"Blinded by the sun" turned into quite an ordeal. After loosing major pieces to the hard drive hiccup, some of the songs ended up being re-recorded, and a couple of new ones were added. The hiccup actually turned into a GOOD thing because the overall CD is much stronger...and I'm VERY proud of it. We're finishing up the artwork right now and the CD will be available July 1, 2003 :) Song samples (and some of the artwork) are already posted in the "music" section.

HARD DRIVE HICCUP
Right in the middle of designing the website, the hard drive hiccuped. Half of "Blinded by the sun" was lost. It was in the final polishing up stage (after a year of intense creativity). Recovery efforts are in progress.
