Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise is an amalgamation of different cultures and styles within a new soul sound. Bradley, at first,
seems out of place with his younger band but once you hear the results it makes perfect sense. Time to Discover is a masterpiece of
hard edged, funky soul.
"Mister Tony," has a beautiful falsetto melody; "Take Love And Receive It," features a haunting soul; "Gambler,"
is some serious funk and "Baby" has a chorus that just sticks in your head. Robert Bradley has a memorable voice and he's backed by a band
of quality musicians who give him the space he needs.
Time to Discover is the band's finest disc so far and DEFinitely worth...the time to discover <g>.
