"I done got old, can't do the things I used to do," are the opening lines to Sweet Tea. Hogwash! This disc
just explodes in your CD player! Buddy Guy clearly had something to prove with this disc and it shows. These songs are
the blues of the Mississippi hill country on steroids -- played and sung monstrously by Buddy Guy and a younger, killer
band. "Baby Please Don't Leave Me" and "I Gotta Try You Girl" are ultra sexy grooves, while "Stay
All Night," "Look What All You Got" and "Tramp" are rude, on the verge of explosion. Sweet Tea
is unlike anything Buddy's ever recorded. It's refreshing to see someone who's almost 70 breaking new ground.
